Performance Issue – Continuation/repetition of performance failure
Solution – Discuss with HR and your manager.
Because there is a developing pattern here the matter is serious and, depending on the circumstances one of the following actions will be required. Discuss with HR the most appropriate action to take. Options include;
- An informal reprimand but indicating that disciplinary action will begin the first continues; or
- A performance coaching conversation if you need to learn more about the situation before choosing what action to take; or
- Put in place pip program with specific improvement targets, defined timeframes and spelling out the consequences of not achieving those results; or
- Commence disciplinary action (if you take on the above or similar steps already)
Continued poor performance should result in Disciplinary Action.
