Six Monthly Housekeeping Checks. In June and December we complete an H&S audit of each site/work area. This work is done by using our standard Housekeeping Checklist. Complete Hazard Register Review. Each site must maintain an updated register of hazards including physical, ergonomic and chemical/biological hazards. Twice yearly in June and December the hazard register must be reviewed and updated. This means that this involves a fresh look at hazard identification, recording identified hazards and evaluating their significance/risk, identifying potential controls using our control hierarchy (1. Eliminate, 2. Isolate or 3. Minimise). Staff on site must then be informed of the hazards and controls and ongoing monitoring of hazards must occur. Hazard ID. All areas have a hazard register. This can be found on Gloria under Hazards. As a manager it is your duty to ensure all staff have read the hazard they may be exposed to as part of doing their job at the work site. As a manager you must ensure your staff have the skills and competence to complete their tasks.
