Leadership is considered a mastery skill, something all leaders need to continue to work on and develop over their career. We expect anyone responsible for leading people or functional business areas  to be awake, aware and practicing conscious leadership.

The principles of conscious leadership that are reinforced through our development programmes are;

Leadership development occurs in a range of ways within our organisation including on the job through new experiences, working with different people and stretching yourself to work outside your core capabilities, personal reflection, coaching, mentoring and exposure to key people as well as involvement in strategically important projects.

This is a modular programme delivered in a range of formats (topic dependent) including webinar, workshop and teleconference. The programme provides foundation level leadership development across three core areas of leadership – Leading self, Leading people, Leading the business that are essential for all leaders.

Leadership Foundations

This is our flagship leadership development programme in NZ and runs across 6-8 months. Selection for attendance is by senior manager nomination. The programme runs as 4×2 days workshops covering the following areas;

  • Connecting vision and purpose
  • Mindful leadership
  • Courageous conversations
  • Leading people
  • Planning Ahead
  • Emotional Resilience

During this programme participants complete certain tasks between programmes including a daily journal, conversations with their 1 up manager and their own team, action learning with an assigned buddy and engagement with a leadership social learning platform.
